The record-breaking, early ripening 2011 vintage has given birth to an understated Cullen, making it exceedingly rare among sauvignons as a wine in which texture speaks louder than fruit. A textural grapefruit pith mouthfeel, outstanding presence and a ribbon of long-lingering acidity give form to granny smith apple skin, lime and preserved lemon fruit, with an undercurrent of earth and a hint of ferment funk.
